Logos Bible software

logo

Some of you in 2nd year may not have purchased Bible software yet. Bibleworks and Accordance are the college recommended products, but Logos seems to compare feature-wise and was a bit cheaper.

We got the ‘original languages collection’ ($294 @ the ‘rong with student discount) + BDAG + Wallace (~$275AUD from the logos online shop).

So we got UBS4, BHS, BDAG and Wallace for about $570 and so far have been really happy with using it.

It runs on PC or MAC.

Online music creation

This is great. If you have ever used fruityloops or reason this is similar, but free and web based! I feel some major time being wasted!!

Consoles…the good old days!

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

This brings back good memories…did you play consoles as a kid?? were you into Nintendo or Sega?

…I have no idea if $120 was a good price or not!

Incredible!

Last.FM

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

I don’t know how many of you out there are keen music listeners… but if you are, you should get into to Last.FM. It’s nothing new I know, but thought I’d check it out and have to say I’ve really been enjoying it!

The idea is that you let it know what you listen to, then when you use its radio feature it will play you songs that you’ll theoretically like. there’s an itunes plugin that uploads what you listen to on your ipod and itunes which is nice.

As you can see on the right side, you can show what you’re listening to etc.

If you get into it, let me know – there’s some friend feature, so i’ll make you my music buddy or something!

DJing tape-style

Monday, May 19th, 2008

This is a post from an old blog I kept. Made me laugh when I saw it so I thought I’d post it here to keep the memory alive…

—–

Some Russian dude called DJ Artyom is responsible for these little babies: Home-made dj-ified tape decks!

note: pitch control, EQ and a Jog Shuttle! (even if it is just a disk attached to one of the spool axles…)

I knew there was a reason i kept that 1980′s walkman!

I love this program!

I came across this recently: “PDF X-Change Viewer”

It lets you write/draw/leave notes on pdf documents. Absolute gold if you want to make notes on journal articles as you read them, but don’t particularly want to print them out (because you’re a rampant greenie, or lazy or whatever…)

I think it is only for windows users.
