For those who use the flash application for mobiles…I have added a download for a version with words ordered by frequency (30times+)
Download: Greek Flash Cards - Mobile - By Frequency (20) - 58.25 KB
For the Moore students reading:
If you’ve had problems with the word macros at lionelwindsor.com you’re not alone… I couldn’t get them to work at all with word 2007! I have changed the code so it does work and some brief install instructions are included.
If you have any use for such things…head to the ‘other files‘ section of my language tools
I have a Hebrew exam on Friday, but I’m taking a quick break from revision – there is only so much time you can spend writing right to left in one night!!
Instead I’m dreaming of that time which will come…quickly I hope…summer holidays!
For those who have been using the language tools (greek/hebrew flashcards) I plan to make a few modifications over the summer. The greek needs some work and I really need to get the hebrew one into a more useful state. In the mean time I’d love to hear your feedback.
What would you like to see the widgets do? what doesn’t suit you? what would be better/easier and so on. No guarantees but I’ll do what I can…
Hi folks,
If you use the parsing feature of the Greek flash-card widget, you should download the file again. I’ve posted an update which fixes all the bugs you’ve been reporting to me (I hope!)
Hi, some people pointed out two bugs in the parsing screen.
1) Participles weren’t giving the right options for selecting (couldn’t choose number)
2) No words when ALL tense/voice/mood options are selected.
I’ve fixed the code so that 1) is resolved, to solve 2), just make sure that ‘perfect’ is not selected.
Download the updated file
Stay tuned for a more substantial update after the mid-year exam!
I’ve updated the Greek Mobile flash cards program. It has 2 spelling errors corrected.

[note: download now works - sorry about that folks!]
After a fair bit of googling around, it seems that flash just doesn’t support right-to-left languages properly and especially not with vowel pointing. So unfortunately that means I can’t release a hebrew version of the mobile phone flash cards program.
If anyone knows how to do this kind of thing or finds a solution somewhere please let me know – I think this would be a useful tool if it could be made to work!
I’ve re-uploaded the widget and it should actually work now! Sorry to those who have tried with the previous file. It was broken…
Do let me know of any bugs/spelling mistakes etc and I’ll keep it updated.
Next release will most likely have verb parsing, but for now you can only show flash-cards and play memory.
Head to language tools to download your copy. This is a Yahoo! widget which can run on Mac or PC.
