We have a dog!
After almost 3 year of sustained hinting from Jodie I confronted the reality that her desire to have a canine companion was not going to fade…so shortly before Christmas (on our way to Adelaide) we got ‘Winnie’:
Yes I know, at least one of the females in the pic is good looking 
So far I like having a dog around the house. Her best feature is her inability to expend energy continuously. We get home and she goes nuts for about 15 mins, then pretty much lies on the floor comatose for the next few hours recovering.
Thanks to those who offered name suggestions on Jodie’s facebook! I was a fan of Boxy’s suggestion ‘Sarah Palin’
i take dogs on a dog-by-dog basis…
and they normally fail!
