Name your band

This is kind of fun:

here’s a totally random way to make your new random band’s new random album cover. Post one! Go to “Wikipedia.” Hit “random” and the first article you get is the name of your band. Then go to “Random Quotations” and the last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. Then, go to Flickr and click on “Explore the Last Seven Days” and the third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Here is mine:

  7. that is indeed a cack
my band is ‘the adventures of harry nile’, my albulm is called ‘the mathematics of probability’.
unfortunately my artwork is some waify girl leaning against the wall. not very fitting for my band. i’d definitely ask the ad-ex to rethink their artwork.

  8. An optional Step 4 is that you have to justify either your Band Name or Album Name with a bible verse.

    e.g. For Reuben:

    Matthew 24:44
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

    Luke 12:47
“That servant who knows his master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows.

    and my favourite:
    Job 3:8
May those who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan.

Are you ready to rouse Leviathan??
    Well, personally… I’m always ready

  9. Hey! just because i go to bible skool doesn’t mean that everything needs to be justified with a bible verse :-) …i am ready to rouse leviathan though.

  10. More the point that Christian bands try to come up with an amazing band name with some obscure reference from the bible. Poking fun at Christian bands rather than you, although, that is also rather fun.

What’s the coolest thing about EV Interactive is that they’re not a Christian band, but rather, they’re Christians in a band! Such a fresh approach :D

  11. Hey Reuben, i’m meant to be doing an assignment, so i thought i’d check your blog instead :-) Never seen this before…i cheated, the first wikipedia article was some dude, the second a random acronym, the third “Azano del Parco” – I’ve decided to just go with Parco. The quote was good though: “Where you heard it”. And the pic was perfect. I may have to send it to you :-)

  12. Nice! Parco …pleased to provide all your procrastination needs. As it turns out I should be listening to a church history lecture :-)

Love to see the pic! I need to add some way to post images in comments.
