Hey mate,

no sarcasm at all - I intend to shamelessly plagiarise your idea at some point. The greatest form of flattery and whatnot :)

At least it's on your old stomping ground...

Hi Dave, thanks for your comments!

I'm hoping that i've not missed sarcasm, but I do appreciate getting to know the person they have on pilgrim's podcast. And it's a bit of fun. And why would you do it? Get students to! surely there are some aspiring radio jocks around? :-)

re: bible reading, of course you're right. people have to want to do it in the first place!
I had assumed that it is something that (some) students want to do - So the idea is to use technology creatively to make it easier and better (with the interactive element etc).

triplet thing sounds good. safer commenting with people you know too.

Well, I'm not. And given Geoff's relationship of fear with technology, I doubt he's planning on it.

I like this thought because it's quite real/personal for online contact.

I wrote out a big reply to your last uni post (on the Bible reading do). I like the concept... my concern is rolling it out 'en masse'. I could see it working as a kind of virtual 'prayer triplet' type reading - a few guys who are committed to the project, and actually commenting on what they're doing. I'm wary of just seeking to make it easier to do something, because it devalues what it is they do - that is, are people not reading the Bible just because reading off paper is unnatural for them, or because they don't care/can't be bothered? If it's the latter, no matter how easy we make it, they won't do it.
