$30 Dates
Boxy is da man. He told me about thirtydollardatenight.com and we put it to the test.
After pressing the big red button we were instructed to ‘learn to make sushi, and hire lost in translation’. We already know how to make sushi, but we did have a hankering to head out for some Jap. Strictly speaking the date didn’t cost $30 but it was tasty and fun.
Sushi Masa was v.good quality for the price if you live around college (it’s on Pyrmont Bridge road, Camperdown) Get the flying fish row sushi if you’re feeling adventurous!
Lost in Translation was still good the second time.

Glad you liked the site dude. The great thing as well is that if you’ve got a great idea for a date you can submit it for others.
Church by the Bridge is hosting an art exhibition (I Heart Kirribilli) and so Haley has now put attending the exhibition and going out to a nice cafe afterwards as a Sydney based date you can do!
Reply to Steve BoxwellCool, yeah Jodes found that one too – sounds good!
Reply to reubenMake an online date with your sweetie – either jump on computers at different houses, or even different computers in the same house, or take it public to an internet cafe!
Meet in a private chat room or on Skype or IM and have a conversation over the internet… you will be surprised at how it adds a whole new dimension to your conversation. And if you start to feel frisky, perhaps indulge in some cybersex!
hahaha… that’s completely horrible. You certainly got the best date night idea that I’ve found on that website. Would this one fly in the Salagaras house?
Girls: pull out your make-up kit and get him to give you a makeover. Guys may not admit it, but they are definitely curious about that morning make-up ritual! Be prepared to have a sense of humour, odds are it will not be pretty!
The answer is…
Reply to martywoah…maybe i should not have given such a hearty recommendation
i guess you take the good with the bad. saw that you can upload your own suggestions Marty – you could get famous! and couldn’t possibly have worse suggestions than a makeup date. who does that!?! seriously!

Reply to martyHey,
It’s Denis from $30 Date Night…
Ya, I’ll be the first to admit some of the date ideas on the site are cheesy… like really cheesy! But the good wouldn’t be so good without the bad. Keep pressing that red button till something turns you on!
Admittedly, the hedgemaze date seemed too childish for me until things turned into an unexpected bonus… you never know the fun that can arise from lame date ideas.
cheers for the plug!
