Flashcards wishlist

I have a Hebrew exam on Friday, but I’m taking a quick break from revision - there is only so much time you can spend writing right to left in one night!!

Instead I’m dreaming of that time which will come…quickly I hope…summer holidays!

For those who have been using the language tools (greek/hebrew flashcards) I plan to make a few modifications over the summer. The greek needs some work and I really need to get the hebrew one into a more useful state. In the mean time I’d love to hear your feedback.

What would you like to see the widgets do? what doesn’t suit you? what would be better/easier and so on. No guarantees but I’ll do what I can…

Do you mean as a dashboard widget? provoc kinda already does that, but now that I have a mac it is more of a possibility.

I wrote the flashcards as a Yahoo widget so that it would work on mac + pc…you just need to download the yahoo widgets engine and install it then load my widget.

    Hey Reubs…

I think i told you this stuff already but i would really like:

    a) You to be able to limit the random option to just a few chapters. Eg random flash for just chapters 1-4.

    b) modifying the random a bit so that it still runs through each word once and then begins the list again. At the moment it is literally random so potentially you can get a word 15 times before a different word appears.

    c) this may be impossible, but it would be cool if you could put in your own data. I know that in the years coming up we will need to make our own vocab lists so that would help (but i know it might not be possible)

Anyway, thanks for supplying such a fantastic tool. It’s meant that i can learn my vocab while at the same time looking engaged in a boring lecture. Haha

    Hey Nick,

I think those are mostly do-able and would def. be a big improvement. Thanks!
