Was anyone into these in primary school?? I loved them.
Found book 3 in the series at a second hand bookshop today which made me happy. And it’s about sunken treasure!!
The year is 1793 and I’ve found a box of letters in the attic. One of them is a map…Could it be a treasure map? My father says to wait to ask Captain Frye about it, but I could walk down to the docks right now and ask one of the sailors.
What should I do??
I wouldn’t call it a collection yet, but item 35 on the list is well on the way to complete.
Hey all, still alive…no need to panic.
We had a great time this saturday just gone, which happened to be Jodie’s birthday. Nice relaxing morning, watched some TV (from the massive backlog of shows she’s got recorded atm!!) then to Forbes and Burton for tea. Got the recommendation from some friends at college (thank sam+soph) really nice place.
I ordered the salmon and incidentally got introduced to a (relatively) new style of food preparation “Sous-vide” the gist is the food gets sealed in a bag under vaccuum with oil, spices etc then cooked in a precisely temperature controlled water bath (like they use in laboratories) keeping all the flavour and moisture in the meat and cooking it to perfection every time. I liked the taste and the high tech nature of the food. very scientific! (go on nerds google it to see all sorts of optimum cooking time graphs
Jodie had a sweet roasted eggplant and roast veg gnocci. not so scientific but still nice she tells me!
